Document Imaging

A NYC hospital needed a document imaging system to track all of their Emergency Room patient documents. The caveat, was they needed a way to track missing ER files that were misplaced between the ER and the billing center. Working with the programmers of document imaging system, Better Technology Systems designed a system that would interface with their ER server and automatically create document imaging folders for every patient that was seen by the ER. Using the document imaging system as a reconciliation report, the billing department was able to track down missing folders with the information that was transferred from the ER computers

Phone Systems

A real estate company needed to setup a sales office to sell 300 condo units. Better Technology Systems:
- Established their phone and internet service with the telecom provider
- Established their internet domain name and web server
- Setup the internal voice and data systems using wireless technology so that the sales agents could stay in contact with the sales office no matter where they were on the property.
- Provided all of the servers, PCs and laptops necessary to get the job done.

Security

A company needed to secure the perimeter of their office as well as several sections within the office and data center. Better Technology Systems designed a card access system that automatically secured the office after hours, and allowed management to control and track access 24x7.

A company in NYC needed to connect three of their sites via video conference. Better Technology Systems designed and installed a system that was $60,000 cheaper than another company's estimate because we analyzed the customer's needs and sold them only the system components that they needed.

Virtualization

A major fund raising organization was faced with a dilemma. They needed to have a large amount of servers to run their various database and office operations, but they had limited space and budget dollars. Using virtualization, Better Technology Systems was able to roll out 35+ virtual servers on 7 physical servers. This saved the organization thousands of dollars in equipment, electrical and maintenance costs. To further leverage the organization's dollars, BTS enabled virtual clustering so that if a single piece of equipment failed, the virtual servers migrated over to the surviving physical servers.
